Welcome to Area Noir, your creative home for wellness, art, and collaboration.
Please take a few minutes to read through our community guidelines to help keep the space safe, inspiring, and respectful for everyone.

Membership & Access

Fees

Monthly membership fees are monthly payments with 6 months minimum contracts. Annual memberships come with 20% discount, paid in advance. Non refundable.

How do I book guests?
All guests must be pre-booked through the members’ portal.
Guest numbers are limited depending on your membership tier.

Do I need to book co-working space?
Yes — our co-working lounge (100 seats) operates on a booking system.
Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis via the members’ portal.

What are your opening hours?
Area Noir is open 24/5 for active members - closed on weekends apart from studio hire and events.
Staffed reception and support are available during standard hours (9am–7pm).

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Light snacks and soft drinks are fine in lounge areas — please avoid meals or hot food in studios. Food is permitted for events- we can also provide catering.

Can I use the studios without booking?
No — all studios (photo, film, recording, cinema) must be pre-booked through the portal.
Walk-ins are not permitted to ensure fair access and security.

Events, Hire & Exhibitions

How do I book an event or private hire?
All event hire bookings require a refundable damage deposit, processed and returned via card once the space is inspected.

For exhibitions, installations, or art showcases, please contact:

Are tickets and course fees refundable?
There are no refunds for events, courses, or workshops that have already commenced.

Is venue hire available?
Yes — venue hire and space partnerships are available on request.
Please email the events team to discuss your project.

Conduct & Community

Respect the space and others.
Area Noir is a shared creative environment — please keep noise, conduct, and music to considerate levels, especially in co-working areas.

Damages
Any damages to equipment, furniture, or property must be reported immediately and paid for by the responsible member or guest.

Photography & Filming
Photography is welcome in your booked space only.
Please avoid capturing other members or private sessions without consent.

Guest Behaviour
Members are fully responsible for the behaviour of their guests.
Misconduct will lead to suspension of membership.

Lost Property
Lost property is cleared every two weeks. Please check in promptly if you misplace something.

Security & CCTV
CCTV is operational throughout the building for everyone’s safety.
Members must use their apps for entry and are not permitted to share access credentials.

Entrance apps are linked to member accounts and only work when member accounts are active.

Wellness & Noise

Reformer, Movement & Yoga Classes
All wellness classes must be pre-booked even those free with your membership.
Please arrive on time, and avoid entering mid-session.

Please bring your own towel. Showers and changing rooms available on site.

No shows face a £15 fair use charge.

Quiet Policy
Recording studios and creative suites are sound-treated — please use headphones in open spaces and keep noise levels respectful.

We do play music in open spaces so please bare that in mind when planning your working day.

Payments & Deposits

• All memberships are charged monthly.

• Event hire deposits are processed via card and refunded post-inspection.

• Late fees, damages, or unpaid balances will suspend your membership until settled.

Connectivity & Facilities

• Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.

• Lift access is available to all floors.

• Wheelchair accessible
